Principal Okada visited the network school "Brown Rice and Miso Soup Club".

Flickering snow on February 2th.In Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture, Mr. Okada and Mr. Okada visited the networking class "Brown Rice and Miso Soup Club" hosted by Mr. Hideko Komatsu. The venue isJRSanda City Arima Symbiosis Center is located about 10 minutes by car from Mita Station. It is a relaxing place surrounded by rich nature.   A total of 24 students gathered, including students who are attending beginner and intermediate classes and past students. There were people with children and husbands, and they welcomed us in a very lively and warm atmosphere. This time, unlike a regular classroom, the principal acted as a special lecturer. The cooking class starts with a basic story about regular meals. Next, we will demonstrate how to make XNUMX dishes selected from beginner and intermediate levels. There were many items, but each item was carefully explained.Everyone was watching the headmaster cooking one after another while giving tips on how to make it. As the practical training begins and the students work in a hurry, the principal goes around each table and gives detailed instructions, from how to braise the rice to how to season it.During that time, Mr. Komatsu and assistants Ms. Tomoko Takano (instructor) and Ms. Chiemi Shiozaki (instructor course) provided support. It was. The students must have been studying hard on a regular basis, and the students were all very skillful, and in no time at all they finished seven items. During the meal, the principal gave us a talk about "the art of staying healthy through food". During the meal, the principal gave us a talk about "the art of living healthily through food".I think it was a really good experience for her because in the network class, there are not many opportunities for the principal to communicate directly with the students. If you rent a venue and hold a classroom, you need to bring in a lot of cooking utensils such as pots and stoves, and prepare in advance.I think it would be very difficult, but Mr. Komatsu was used to it, and he prepared it very smoothly and efficiently.I once again realized how amazing it is that network classes in various places are being held in this way.And above all, I felt that it was wonderful that the classroom was managed in a very harmonious manner while interacting with the local people.   This is the impression of Mr. Komatsu. For the first time, we invited Ms. Akiko Okada to the Mita classroom and held a joint class for beginner and intermediate classes.Enthusiastic students, including current and past students, participated on the day, and the day was so lively and lively that the teacher's question meant that there was a waiting list. Students commented, "I felt the importance of daily life, I realized the importance of food again, cooking is connected to life and kindness, and I looked back on my daily life. I want to study more and protect my family's health." It was a day that I felt grateful and happy for continuing the network class.     Starting with this visit to the Mita classroom, the secretariat will visit network classrooms in various places together with the principal to conduct interviews.
