Exhibited at the 9th Shokuiku Promotion National Convention

From June 6st to 21nd, we exhibited at the National Shokuiku Promotion Convention held at M-Wave, a facility for the Winter Olympics in Nagano City. This is the 22th time the event has been held, last year in Hiroshima, the year before last in Yokohama, and the year before that in Mishima, Shizuoka Prefecture. From Nagoya, I took the Chuo Line limited express "Shinano" to Nagano City.It was a 9-hour trip that continued through the green mountains and rice fields in the moist air unique to the rainy season. The General Dietary Promotion Council, headed by Dr. Masashi Watanabe, the president of the Japanese Society of General Medicine, consists of groups that promote dietary nutrition, the Japan Macrobiotic Association, the Japan CI Association, the Kushi Institute Japan, the Japan Society of General Medicine, The Institute of Integrative Medicine is a member, and we are working to spread dietary nutrition (macrobiotic / regular diet) with the policy of "reviving dietary regimen-from dietary education to dietary nutrition-".We exhibited as the comprehensive food promotion council. *Photo by KAKI On the 22nd, a symposium titled "Food Education to Create the Future of Children" was held by the Sogo Shokuiku Promotion Council.Last year, I was interviewed in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, and met again with Mr. Mitsugu Otsuka, an educational and dietary advisor who appeared in the special feature of “Musubi” magazine (May 2013 issue). Before turning 5, he seemed to be in good health.Dr. Otsuka gave a lecture on the theme of "School lunch changed children", Mr. Masaru Furuya, Director of the Japan Society of Medical Sciences, Ms. Yasuko Ikeda, Chairman of the Society for Creating a Brighter Future for Children, and the promotion of no-till farming in Japan. This was followed by a lecture by Mr. Shigeo Okazawa, and finally by Mr. Masa Watanabe.Nagano Prefecture is rich in local cuisine, so I felt that the content of the event was based on the original concept of food education, and many of the visitors were elegant and well-mannered. Information on this event will be published in the September issue of Musubi, so please read it. (Terry)
