Profile:
Born in Iwate prefecture. In 77, he opened a natural food store in Shizukuishi-cho, at the foot of Mt. Iwate. He went to the United States in 80 and graduated from the Kushi Institute MCT.After returning to Japan, he established the Gauche Institute in the same city, which continues to this day.Based in Tokyo, he is active mainly in food guidance and lectures all over the country.He is a director of Japan Macrobiotic Association.
